Mojacár pueblo has today become a very busy and cosmopolitan place. Having a past sealed by numerous cultures, from the well known Argar culture from the Neolitical era, Tin and Bronze age and until the first Ibericos through the Fenicians , the Romans, the Visigoths , Ostrogoths and the Muslim era in all its splendour, and from the Crhistian requonquista by the Spanish Catholic kings as a military and comercial stronghold until the 19th century.

During the month of June we celebrate the Moors and Christian fiesta, a big spectacle of music and colours atracting many spectators.
